As financial and debt advisor Kitra Advisory advised the Giomi Group on the acquisition of Città di Bari Hospital, one of the main hospital NHS accredited in the Apulia region. The transaction was completed on January 15, 2026.

CBH, founded in the 2000s, is a healthcare complex comprising the Mater Dei Hospital in Bari and three hemodialysis centers, namely Santa Rita, Villa Luce, and Città di Bisceglie. The company has approximately 450 beds accredited with the National Health Service out of approximately 520 authorized beds. Mater Dei Hospital is one of the main hospitals in Bari, offering acute hospital and specialist services in areas including cardiology, surgery, and orthopedics. It is part of the Apulia Region’s Emergency Network and is accredited as a Level I Emergency Department.
Rationale of the Deal
The acquisition by the Giomi Group of the remaining 50% of Città di Bari Hospital is part of the Group’s strategy aimed at consolidating its presence in the Italian market, with the objective of supporting and further enhancing the development of Città di Bari Hospital in the reference territory, through a progressive expansion and improvement of the services offered.
